The Act
by Fred Ebb, John Kander, George Furth

Synopsis
Liza Minnelli took Broadway by storm in this glitzy, gritty musical about a has-been movie star's attempt to reignite her career with a high-energy Las Vegas nightclub act.
Through a trove of great musical numbers interspersed with backstage scenes, the musical explores performer Michelle Mayer's desperate attempt to balance her personal and professional lives.
Nearly all of the terrific Kander and Ebb songs, including "City Lights," "Arthur in the Afternoon" and "The Money Tree," are sung by Michelle, making this an amazing tour de force for a powerhouse leading lady.
