THE COFFEE LACE - Six old theatre folk share a shabby flat in Kensington.

None has ventured outside for many years since their last stage appearance, a disaster.

Hoping to raise funds for an anniversary celebration, they plan to pawn the ailing Lily's "coffee lace" dress.

When she dies suddenly, Lily's death provides them an unexpected financial windfall.

Living together in a Flat in Kensington, Jane and Sarah must conceal their relatonship from their parents.

Having invented a convenient 'beau' named 'Trevor', they hire an out-of-work actor to pose as their gentleman friend.

However, when both sets of parents show up unexpectedly for tea, 'Trevor' is forced into a double act.
