The story concerns a college student on whom an unscrupulous young woman tries to practice blackmail.

Coming to his fraternity house, she accidentally falls and kills herself.

The youth hides her body and throughout the course of a house party, he is in an agony lest the body should be discovered.

It finally is, of course, and he is put on trial for his life.

When he is released he feels so keenly the suspicion that has been aroused that he attempts suicide, but is dissuaded by a fraternity brother.
