Synopsis
Set in Los Angeles, the cradle of movieland, the play concerns a funny bizarre family who all in their separate ways attempt to findf something in life that will give them an illusion of greatness.
Dora, the mother, saves memorabilia from the movies.
Augie tries to become a famous writer at his family's expense.
Natalie becomes a religious fanatic and runs around giving family possessions away and develops stigmata which spread as her fanaticism reaches fever pitch.
Michael is a doctor who has developed a no-fail heart valve, but whose marriage skips out from under him.
A funny and thought provoking evening as all the LaDonas' illusions come crashing down at the conclusion.
