Christmas, Incorporated
by Walter Kerr

Synopsis
Mary Daly, who works in Connors' Department Store, decides to quit, because Christmas is being savagely destroyed by gross commercialization.
Before she leaves, a small girl named Laura Jo asks her where she is going.
Mary questions the Laura Jo about Christmas, but the girl easily explains away the contradiction of sixty seedy Santa Clauses and reveals a feeling for the season very close to Mary’s own memories.
