Any Eve for Adam
by Harry Cauley

Synopsis
Adam Fitzgerald is a wacky, insecure, petulant writer in his early forties who has had "two bad marriages and two good divorces".
After seeing Maggie Harper for the first time in sixteen years, he decides he needs her for inspiration.
Adam, who can only write in the nude, isn't the sort to live alone, but Maggie, divorced and the mother of a fourteen year old son attending school in Europe, is a firm believer in remaining single.
After talking Maggie into accepting him as a boarder, Adam signs a platonic relationship contract which is mutually broken two weeks later.
Ordered out when Maggie's son returns from Europe, Adam eventually grows up, writes his first good novel and worms his way back into Maggie's heart.
