A Lean and Hungry Priest
by Warren Kliewer

Synopsis
Hugo of Orleans, a twelfth century poet-priest-wandering scholar, travels around the university towns of Europe - living from hand to mouth, composing and singing his songs - just a half step ahead of the bill collectors and the Black Death.
He is determined in an esthetic age to celebrate the goodness of life on earth.
