St. John's University - Costume Designer for Come From Away

St. John’s University Chappell Players Theatre Group is seeking to hire a Costume Designer for its upcoming Fall 2026 musical, COME FROM AWAY.

The Chappell Players is a non-equity, undergraduate, student-based organization whose mission it is to develop and promote theatre arts within the university and the surrounding communities.

COME FROM AWAY dates

Student Auditions: September 7^th – 10^th (5:30-11PM)

Rehearsals begin: September 13^th

Tech: October 10^th-15th

Show Opens: October 16^th, 2026

Show Closes: October 24^th, 2026

All rehearsals (evenings during the week and afternoons on weekends) and performances will be held on St. John’s University Queens campus.

Salary

Designers: $950

We will keep submitted resumes for review and possible future hires throughout our season which will include a mainstage production and a children’s show for elementary school audiences, both in Spring 2027, to be announced.
