Blown to the Land of Oz by a Kansas cyclone, Dorothy and her little dog, Toto, are at a loss to know how to get back home.
Wearing the magic silver slippers which she has earned quite unexpectedly, and protected by the kiss of the good Witch of the East, Dorothy goes in search of the Wizard of Oz, in the hope that he can solve her problem.
On the way, she picks up some delightful new friends, who join her in seeking out the mighty Wizard.
But it is many adventures later before she discovers the way to get back home.
Familiar folk music is suggested for the songs, for which no score is needed.
