Synopsis

While hunting, a Duke sights the mythical Firebird, and manages to bring back one feather to the King.

The King commands him to return with the bird itself; the Duke does so and the Firebird relinquishes her song in order to help the Duke.

The King then sends the Duke to complete a series of seemingly impossible quests, and soon both his future and life are at stake.

Told simultaneously in American Sign Language and speech, this play follows the magical adventures of a young man who learns the power of communication and the obstacles language can present.
