Synopsis

The McNutt sisters are going nuts.

The resident psychiatrist of their 'half-way house' for emotionally disturbed adolescents is missing.

The inspector is due any minute.

They are one patient under their minimum quota and, to put it mildly, in trouble.

Undaunted by details, Christine persuades her boyfriend, Barry, to put on a false beard and intern's jacket, and pose as their missing psychiatrist, while Karen pretends to be a patient.

She even maintains this pretense when the examiner turns out to be a handsome young man she's been gradually falling in love with while doing research at the library.

He's equally interested in her and believes she's suffering from a mild neurosis.

Naturally, he consults the phony psychiatrist and the troubles really multiply!
