Synopsis

Imaculada has gathered her friends in the fortress-like mansion belonging to her absent employer, a wealthy Republican Congressman living high on a hill in Sedona, Arizona.

Together they convert his luxurious basement man cave into their own spiritual war room and protective sanctuary from the violence of men, both real and supernatural.

Press Reviews

"I’m betting that you won’t be bored, not even for a split-second. Man Cave wraps potent social criticism inside a ghost story that will have you eager (and afraid) to find out what happens next."

— Lighting & Sound America

"A supernatural-political horror show that will keep you guessing... just strap in and enjoy the ride."

— Theatrely

"A political drama wrapped in the spooky pleasures of the horror genre, and it works on both levels. Its characters are Mexican American women on the economic fringes, and its concerns are theirs: work, love, heritage, survival; how to be safe, and feel at home, in their own country."

— The New York Times

"Magic and history converge in... a kind of indie horror movie... Caswell raises urgently important topics: domestic violence, the abuse of police authority, the ever-expanding Department of Homeland Security, and the cynical way that politicians profit from it."

— Theatermania
