The Land of Little Horses is the story of three sisters,Evelyn, Jessica, and Jean Louise,and their Aunt Dot.

Evelyn is engaged to the well-intentioned, but occasionally clueless Charles.

Jessica is dating an entrepreneur from Italy, and Jean Louise and Dot have decided to run away from home and follow a sport that has become their newfound passion: miniature horse racing.

Their absence serves as a catalyst for Evelyn and Jessica and forces a confrontation between them and their visiting mother, Laura.

Emotions run high while Dot and Jean Louise become the first groupies of the Miniature Horse Racing Association and take their fascination cross-country, leaving their family to ask the questions that ultimately bring them home.
