Synopsis

Gunner and Willowdean are on their second marriages and starting life together as retirees in Stateline, Ky., as the sole proprietors of Bingham's Antiques and Tanning Salon,a world of broken tanning beds, "inch-loss" body wraps, and one-of-a-kind mule muzzles.

It is in this world that Gunner is confronted with some age-old questions as he deals with the death of a friend.

All Gunner wants to do this day is be alone with his grief, but life keeps coming at him as hilarious appearances of grandchildren and eccentric visitors from near and far propel the play along its quirky course.

The play climaxes with the entrance of Eva Lavelle, Gunner's first wife, as we discover that Gunner Bingham is actually Gunner Montana, a legend as one-half of The First Human Impalement Act.

Eva, the bona fide human target of the act, forces Gunner to relive their glory days and throw one more glittering flashing knife in her direction.

This play tells a classic story of loss and renewal with many comic twists and turns.
