Synopsis

Adam, longing for his lost love Shiyo, is trying to fly.

His Uncle, the ageless and otherworldly Ink, helps him using a special mirror that transports the user.

Shiyo, pining on the other side of the mirror, is having the same conversation with her Aunt Thomie, equally as agless and otherworldly.

The lovers reach through, connected, and so do Ink and Thomie, recconecting as past lovers.

A sweet, ethereal play, using intelligent literal mirror scenes about love and longing.

Press Reviews

"The dip into the supernatural is perhaps most effective in Wood Bones and Falling Distance. However, the supernatural elements that act as a unifying tool really only serve as a backdrop for plays that at their heart are about homecomings and identity, assimilation and exploration, external and lateral violence, family conflict, and community connection."
