Characters

Character
LOUISA

Female. High school age or slightly older. A theatre kid and a writer. Loves winning arguments. Cares deeply about others (and what they think of her). Holds herself to an impossible standard. Small chested.

AUDREY

Female. High school age. Louisa’s close friend. Athlete. Whip smart. Very knowledgeable on social issues. Wise beyond her years.

MICHAEL

Male. 30s-40s. Leads self-defense class. Very excited. Tries a little too hard to empower the girls, but he means well.

CHARLOTTE

Female. 12-15 years old, must be noticeably younger than Louisa. Louisa’s sister. Laid back. Has a soft side, but doesn’t willingly let anyone know that.

JOHN

Male. High school age. Louisa’s friend. Very fun to be around, but not the best friend to hold you while you cry or have your back – very much a fair-weather friend. Makes fun of his friends a lot, and it doesn’t always come off in a joking way.

PRESTON

Male. High school age. Louisa’s ex-boyfriend. Says he respects women so he can get into relationships (in which he disrespects women).

MOM

Female. 40s. Louisa’s mom (and a great one). Was very liberal for the conversative area she grew up in, but her feminist views aren’t quite as modern as Louisa’s.

DIRECTOR

Male. 30s-40s. Louisa’s theatre director. Doesn’t care too much about his students – his show must go on and his reputation must stay intact. Wonders why nobody trusts him.

AJ

Male. High school age. A dick.

TIM

Male. High school age. A dick.

ZOEY

Female. High school sophomore. Confrontational and bold.

HARPER

Female. High school sophomore. A Swiftie. A little reserved.

MS. FRANKLIN

Female. 30-40s. Audrey’s guidance counselor.
