Synopsis
This poignant drama is an excellent piece of allegory.
The scene is a wood through which runs a path.
On either side of this path stand two girls, expecting to meet life.
The first Girl tells us that Life has two faces.
He can appear either beautiful or ugly.
As long as the Girls remain the masters of Life, Life will appear beautiful, but as soon as Life is the master, life will appear ugly.
One of the Girls becomes a slave to life and the other becomes a master of life.
