Who's In Bed With The Butler
Michael Parker
The owner of a foundation is a docile bookworm who leaves business affairs to a dapper opportunist who'd been his college roommate.
The foundation gives grants to writers - and one wise bird who's written one good book goes to the various foundations living off the doles.
There's two othr problems - one involving the drunken son of a prominent writer who's made a grant application and whose sister will use any means to get the director to help.
The other problem is the prominent writer's former mistress who seems to magnetize the owner, director - and now the drunken son.
The magnetism is fatal.
"Witty, sagacious observations on contemporary life and letters...written with grace, urbanity and intelligence."
