Runaway Entertainment is seeking an experienced Props Supervisor to support The Mousetrap, delivering multiple sets of props for the West End production and two tour remounts.

Job Description

Working closely with the Director and Creative Team, you will create and deliver multiple full sets of props and set dressing, ensuring consistency across all three versions of the production.

Key Responsibilities

● Interpret the design to produce a full props list, in collaboration with the Director and Production Manager.

● Plan, budget, and schedule the build of three new sets of props and set dressing, to deliver for production deadlines.

● Source, buy, hire, or commission items, managing makers and suppliers.

● Check POs and invoices against budget and report variances to the GM.

● Ensure all props are consistent, labelled, and fully documented.

● Prepare props for tour, including packing lists and coordinating handover to touring teams.

● Maintain safe handling and any appropriate risk assessments for all props.

● Any and other key responsibilities

Essential Criteria

● Previous experience as an Props Supervisor on a professional production

● Experience managing prop builds across multiple sets.

● Experience working collaboratively with creative and production teams.

Production Schedule

West End (St Martin's Theatre, London)

● Rehearsals start: 19th October 2026

● First preview: 10th November 2026

● Show lock: Thursday 19th November 2026

Full attendance required through technical rehearsals, with some ad-hoc attendance needed at rehearsals in London.

Second Leg of Tour

● Props to be ready for handover to the touring team in London on 14th December 2026

Props Supervisor - The Mousetrap

Third Leg of Tour (Northampton, Royal & Derngate)

● Rehearsals start: 14th December 2026

● Tech begins: 4th January 2027

● First preview: 7th January 2027

Attendance required for technical rehearsals in Northampton, with some ad-hoc attendance at rehearsals in London.

Fee

£7,000 to cover full engagement
