Lead Technician A1 for Luminiscence: A 360º Immersive Show

About the Event: LUMINISCENCE is an immersive, multi-sensory cathedral experience that

has captivated over 2,000,000 guests across France. Luminiscence invites audiences into a

timeless journey through sacred stories brought to life with 360° video mapping, live music, and

transformative visuals.

Position Summary: We are seeking detail-oriented and experienced Lead Technician (A1) to

oversee the nightly operations, and overall AV system integrity for the New York production.

This role is vital in ensuring seamless synchronization between sound, light, projection, and live

performance elements. This is a 6 month installation that will be managed each concert night by

our lead technician assisted by an A2 for choir and orchestra nights. It is a highly coordinated

setup that is designed to be run by a single operator.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee nightly technical operations for Luminiscence

• A1 - Lead technical setup and teardown each night including the set up of microphones

and in-ear monitoring setup for concerts (majority of equipment is installed for the run of

show, but a small amount of equipment will need set up each night with assistance from

the A2)

• Run the show (an integrated system operated from an iPad), mix live audio for a choir

and orchestra and troubleshoot/resolve technical issues during show nights

• Coordinate with Production Lead to maintain technical standards

• Participate in rehearsals and previews to ensure understanding and technical proficiency

for the concerts.

• A2 - Assist A1 in set up of microphones and in ear packs up for choir and orchestra

nights. Assist choir and orchestra in setting up stage for performances.

Qualifications:

• Experience in live event production and experience as an audio technician for live events.

Experience mixing live orchestration is preferred. Experience using Yamaha DM7

console and Dante/Digital consoles.

• Moderate knowledge of projection systems, networked audio, and lighting control

systems, with he ability to coordinate with offsite remote support for any issues with the

system.

• Ability to remain calm and efficient in high-pressure environments

• Clear communication skills and team leadership abilities

• Based in or near New York

• Must be legally able to work in the USA

Work Schedule:

• Evening availability Thursday–Saturday from mid Sept 2026 through end of Feb 2027

(with optional additions for Wednesday and Sunday), availability for the entire run of

shows is preferred, with at least 50% of show availability mandatory, along with

mandatory availability for rehearsals and install/training.

• Pre-launch technical setup, testing, and rehearsals required

Compensation:

• Hourly rate (based on experience), W2 temporary employee, 5-6 hours per concert night.

• Equipment provided by the production team
