Director

TEAM BREATHE is currently looking for a talented, creative, collaborative, and confident director to help co-direct a new play called BREATHE, by Kelechi Udenkwo.

PLAY SYNOPSIS
After the death of his grandmother (MAMA), KELECHI travels to his maternal home in Nigeria to attend her funeral. In the wake of his trip, a deadly storm threatens to destroy the home of his grandmother, as well as KELECHI’s spirit. In a constant battle with self-identity and feeling outcast in his extended family, KELECHI struggles to find how he connects to the soil of his grandmother’s village, and to the soul of his grandmother.

REQUIREMENTS:
You must be willing to co-direct this play with the director we already have on board, be comfortable with a projection and sound cue heavy show, and work with your co-director, producer, and projection designer to help bring this world to life. REHEARSAL/SHOW SCHEDULE
-Rehearsals will start November 10-December 10 (3-4 times a week; every Tuesday and Wednesday from 6-10pm; third and fourth rehearsals will be scheduled throughout the week)

-Tech starts the week of December 7

-Performances will be December 11-13 (4 shows)
