Main Duties
  • To ensure that Capital and Revenue fundraising activities complement each other and maximise the potential for return.
  • To work with YTR colleagues to develop the Loyalty Ladder for customers and stakeholders.
  • Working with the Communications and Development Director to re-fresh, develop and administer a strategy for individual giving.
  • To lead on community fundraising, working with a team of volunteers to deliver a programme of activities and events throughout the year.
  • To work with YTR colleagues to identify sponsorship opportunities and build appropriate and lasting relationships with potential and existing sponsors of the Theatre and our work.
  • To co-ordinate and administer the Theatre's corporate partners scheme.
  • To develop a digital fundraising strategy.
  • To research and develop relationships with local and national Trusts and Foundations and to make applications for revenue and capital projects as required.
  • Plan and deliver fundraising events and galas.
  • To develop and implement YTR's Legacy Giving strategy.
  • To ensure that all necessary systems are in place and to keep accurate records of all fundraising activity.
  • To ensure that opportunities to claim Gift Aid on donations is maximised and to administer Gift Aid claims in a timely and accurate way.
  • To work with the Box Office Manager to maximise the potential of Spektrix CRM system.
  • Ensure that communication with other Theatre departments is effective and fundraising is an integrated part of the Theatre's collective work.
  • To develop relationship with other charities across the city and region, seeking out partnership opportunities as appropriate.
  • To be an ambassador for YTR.
  • To work a regular shift on Box Office.
Person Specification Essential
  • An excellent track record of fundraising for the Arts or Charitable sector, particularly in the areas of community fundraising, individual giving and corporate sponsorship
  • Experience of successful digital fundraising
  • Experience of planning and delivering high quality fundraising events
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience of budget control and presentation
  • Good knowledge of Gift Aid and tax incentives for charitable giving
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A proactive, ambitious and enthusiastic approach.
  • A strong commercial acumen and professional approach
  • A passion for theatre
  • A good knowledge of trends and practice in fundraising
Desirable 
  • A track record of making successful applications to Trusts and Foundations
  • Experience of using Spektrix
  • Experience of managing fundraising volunteers
Terms and Conditions
  • Working Hours: 40 hours a week, with the ability to work some evenings and weekends as required
  • Annual salary: £32,122pa
  • The salary will be paid monthly
  • Holiday Entitlement: 28 days per year
  • Notice Period Required: 2 weeks during the probationary period. Thereafter 2 months
  • The Theatre has a work based pension scheme
