What the critics say

1/7
The London Evening Standard
The cartoonish cameo appearances by Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Miles Davis and others are traducingly awful.
Nick CurtisRead review
WhatsOnStage
This disappointing musical sounds less like an affair played on a jukebox and more a set of tunes assembled by someone learning to scratch: the melody occasionally judders into life, but it jumps along without coherence.
Sarah CromptonRead review
The Stage (UK)
“Heartfelt but clumsy”
Tom WickerRead review
BroadwayWorld
I’m Every Woman boasts an exceptionally talented cast whose extraordinary vocal performances consistently honour Chaka Khan’s remarkable catalogue.
Christiana RoseRead review
London Theatre
Perhaps, trying too hard to be Every Woman means this show has no real identity at all.
Anya RyanRead review
West End Best Friend
It's an entertaining tribute that captures the scale of Chaka Khan's legacy, even if it doesn't always capture the depth of the woman herself.
Alexandra TullahRead review
All That Dazzles (UK)
In its current form, I'm Every Woman is a muddled affair that isn't befitting of Chaka Khan herself or the jukebox musical genre it longs to be a part of.
