One-Act Peter Pan Goes Wrong
Henry Shields
Brace yourselves for an awfully big adventure when the inept and accident-prone Cornley Drama Society set out to present J.M.
Barrie’s much-loved classic tale of Peter Pan , their most audacious production to date.
Flying?
Pyrotechnics?
Sharp hooks?
What ensues is two acts of hysterical disaster, battling technical hitches, flying mishaps and cast disputes.
But will they ever make it to Neverland?
You’ll laugh; they’ll cry.
Something so wrong has never been so right.
Containing the same potent blend of hilarity that features in their award-winning The Play That Goes Wrong , Mischief’s take on Peter Pan is unforgettable, even if the Cornley Drama Society wish they could forget what just happened.
Also available in a one-act version as One-Act Peter Pan Goes Wrong .

Peter Pan Goes Wrong is designed to work on two levels: Firstly, the classic tale of Peter Pan, which must be allowed to emerge from the disasters and mishaps within the piece, and secondly, the story of the actors performing the play, which should shine through the cracks in their performances throughout to serve the underlying metanarrative. Everything in the show should be played for truth and not for laughs. When it goes wrong, it hurts! We’ve found that, with this piece, it is important to remember that not all of the actors in the play are “bad actors,” but simply the victims of circumstance. The comedy comes from their unwavering endeavor to continue and their optimistic belief that their luck can always change. |
| Chris The president of the drama society, plays Mr. Darling and Captain Hook. |
