Assistant Director of Marketing, Communications, and Engagement-Penn State School of Theatre

Penn State’s School of Theatre seeks an Assistant Director of Marketing, Communications, and Engagement to lead marketing, audience development, public relations, and engagement for Penn State Centre Stage. The position develops marketing plans for productions, special events, and donor and alumni programs, using audience research and analytics to expand participation and strengthen the program’s reputation.

Responsibilities include managing brand identity and messaging; producing campaigns, playbills, newsletters, press releases, advertising, and multimedia content; editing The Callboard alumni newsletter; overseeing the Centre Stage website, social media, email marketing, digital advertising, photography, videography, and web content; cultivating University and community partnerships; supporting grant proposals and fundraising; coordinating media relations; and representing the program publicly.

Applicants should have marketing, communications, or public relations experience, strong writing, editing, organizational, project management, and analytical skills, and experience with integrated campaigns, digital platforms, content creation, website systems, and Adobe Creative Suite. Performing arts, higher education, nonprofit, audience development, grant-writing, or event experience is preferred.
