A housewife on the verge of a nervous breakdown shoots her vacuum cleaner and phones the police to turn herself in, but she is interrupted by a deaf mute vacuum cleaner repairman at the door.

The encounter is full of conflict until she starts to confide in him - only to turn violently against him.
