Barbary Fox
Don Nigro

In this long, gripping and very unusual one act, set in the first decade of the 20th century, Jack is a sailor, back in London from a South Sea voyage, haunted by the image of a girl he abandoned on an island.
He's certain he's seen the girl in a primitive motion picture exhibit, getting off a boat, but can't imagine how it could be possible.
There are empty spaces in his head, and he's come home with a model named Petra to a strange house by the river that seems eerily familiar to him.
As he tries to make sense of his experience, a dark story unfolds involving a demented scientist with terrible things in bottles, murder, betrayed love, and madness.
