The Monster

Monique, an outcast at school, does battle with various enemies, real and imagined, until one day she is swept through a storm drain into the magical world of the Underdark.

There, she is summoned by Zoltan, who requires her to defeat the mysterious monster that has been causing the disappearances of all the "different" kids.

But, as she and those who join her on the quest discover, things are often not what they seem to be on the surface.

A cleverly crafted tale that advocates diversity, tolerance, and the following of one's own individual path.

The monsters and settings allow for great fun with costuming and sets, and the play contains suggestions on how to achieve the various effects simply.
