Captain Randall of the Marines becomes engaged to Fay Eaton and induces her to stay and have dinner in his cabin.
Fay, together with a gay young American widow, has to remain aboard all night because things go wrong.
Then the ship is unexpectedly ordered to sea and the Admiral decides to sail with her.
