Born In The Gardens
Peter Nichols
It's Richard's seventieth birthday.
To his home come his children: Sam, unhappily married; Charlie, a discontented alcoholic; and Ben, whose generosity and sense of fun hide a mystery in his life.
With Ben comes an unexpected addition to the party: Brice, the first husband of Richard's wife Jan, and the real father to her children.
The scene is set for a day and a night of revelations, arguments and moments of tenderness.
The Garden Party is a British play written by Hazel Wyld and published by Samuel French in London (2000).
