Synopsis

When Helen Stetson, a widow, has to rush to her ailing mother's bedside, she leaves her two daughters alone in the house.

But not for long.

Helen's sisters in law, Veronica and Stella Stetson, arrive and announce they intend to spend the summer there - and spinster Veronica intends to rule the roost!

Teenaged Patsy is displeased when she learns Aunt Veronica is after handsome bachelor Dr. James Wyndham, a family friend.

Patsy plans to make things so unpleasant for Veronica, she'll be glad to leave along with sister Stella.

With the aid of Woody Dodge, Patsy goes to work on Dr. Jim.

The scene where the kids convince Dr. Jim that Veronica's teeth are false and her hair is a wig, is a whole show in itself!
