Wilde Tales
Jeremy Bloom
A garden comes to life to tell a number of fantastic stories that took place there including:The Selfish Giant, The Nightingale and the Rose, The Birthday of the Infanta, The Remarkable Rocket and The Happy Prince.
The play is cyclical, representing a day, a year, and a life, starting with dawn and moving through the day and the seasons.
This classic storytelling illuminates childhood, adolescence, coming of age, adulthood, sacrifice and loss, and a new beginning.
Extraordinary characterizations and the ensemble nature of the piece make this a fantastic project for young actors who are challenged to create the world of the garden as well as perform in it.
Set, costume and prop requirements are minimal and other technical needs are virtually nonexistent.
Single set.
Approximate running time: 1 hour.
