Synopsis

A feel-good comedy focusing on Josie Botting, a retiring dominatrix, who is having a birthday party but is in no mood to celebrate, her cleaner, obsessive-compulsive Martha, who can't pry herself away from her Mr. Sheen the Chinese Elvis who looks the part but hasn't quite learned the words and Lionel, Josies most satisfied customer, there to make sure everything goes off with a bang!

Her wonderful and compelling play is full of quirky characters, including the excruciating lip-quivering routines of songs by the Chinese Elvis.

It also contributed to Charlotte Jones winning the Critics Circle Most Promising Playwright Award 1999.
