The Snow Queen
Ron Nicol
Written for very young audiences, the play tells how a girl made of snow comes to life for an old couple who had always wanted a child of their own.
Even though she cannot come indoors, the Snow Girl plays with the boys and girls of the village to the delight of the old people who watch her from the window of their cottage.
Then one day the greed of the old people causes the Snow Girl to leave them and return to the land of ice and snow.
They are heartbroken, but love and remorse have a magical effect and their little Snow Girl is restored to them—this time as a real child.
