Grass

Synopsis

John "Cabbie" Franklin, a struggling young painter, returns home from college - for dubious reasons.

Artistic success has not come as easily or as immediately as he hoped, and he now regards himself as a failure.

Cabbie explores the origins of inspiration and the measurement of success with the delightful members of his 'normal' family.

He discovers, while working through his self-doubts, that happiness and tragedy are not always found where we expect them.

A moving and insightful play.
