Gauguin/Savage Light

Synopsis

Gauguin/Savage LifeM is about the life of artist Paul Gauguin (1848-1903), written by pop song writer George Fischoff (composer of the 60's classic hits, "Lazy Day" and "98.6"; songs recorded by Perry Como, Herb Albert, the Monkees, Pearl Bailey, etc.). This exciting musical takes you on a journey from Gauguin's early work in Paris to his tempestuous relationship with the painter Vincent Van Gogh, ending with his final great years in Tahiti.

Driven by his own "savage light," Gauguin's passion took him in pursuit of "the right to dare anything!

The right of the artist to be free!" This musical gives the audience an inspiring glimpse into the life of a legendary artist.
