Synopsis

You is ushered into the theatre and given a program and a microphone.

"You" is a character who comments on the action in this off beat comic drama about angst in the Nuclear Age which takes place in and around a nuclear missile silo a mile beneath Utah.

Characters include Jesse and Mac, military keepers of the nuclear keys and codes, Mac's estranged daughter Luke, who lives in a fallout shelter, and the mysterious Mr. Anderson who tells the audience: "The play you are about to see contains poetry, profanity, infidelity and monopoly.

Nobody sings.

Leave now or deal with it."

"You" stays until she is standing alone saying, "As you do nothing, the light on you goes to black."

Press Reviews

"Pours out...spell binding stories that accumulate into a bold picture of how we come to terms with, or ignore, impending Armageddon. There are so many ripe images in this rich play. It's an extravagant collision of funny, unthinkable things adding up to one of the most absorbing plays yet written about the subject."
