Fair and Warmer
Jack Sharrar

What readers are saying
Readers find the play to have a dark tone and explore complex themes. Some feel the portrayal of gender dynamics is unbalanced, with male characters perceived as stronger than female characters. While one reviewer notes its disturbing nature, others may see humor in it.
A very striking and popular one act drama with an unusual and revealing situation.
Mrs. Aldrid finds a purse containing four hundred dollars.
Of course her husband thinks that she intends to return the purse, but Mrs. Aldrid offers Mr. Aldrid a distressing look into her true character when she announces that she will keep it.
Even when they learn that the money belongs to a very good friend, she doesn't change her mind.
Mr. Aldrid changes it for her in the ensuing action which puts her in her place.
