Synopsis

After a quarrel with his wife, the quick-witted woodcutter Sganerelle goes off to chop wood.

To spite him, his wife convinces two passing servants that Sganerelle is a brilliant but eccentric doctor, which leads to escapades and complications in the best Molière tradition.
