Synopsis
Wagner's entire Ring cycle - Das Rheingold, Die Walkure, Siegfried, and Gotterdammerung - is compressed and parodied in this three-hour Ridiculous spectacle.
According to Ludlam, "in this work we will launch a complete assault on the use of language in the theater.
The dialogue will telescope the past, present, and future history of the English tongue into a new expressive idiom.
By cutting across linguistic barriers of the Indo-European group, this 'theatrical esperanto' will eliminate the usual nationalist limitations of spoken drama."
