Synopsis

Two burglars choose Christmas Eve to break into the home of Mr. and Mrs. Saunders.

But so do Aunt Kate and Uncle Joe, coming to surprise the family.

Kate and Joe are quite put out by their cold reception, but Christmas cookies, a tree, and a cowbell – presents the old couple have brought – help to thaw the ice.

When Kate and Joe rout the burglars, it is the first time in many years that the Saunders house is really a home.

The cowbell gives rousing voice to Christmas cheer, and the burglars are given cookies and sent home to bed.
