Synopsis

In this provocative and very funny two character play, a person who is firmly convinced they are Charlie Chaplin is confronted by a person who may be a psychiatrist or may be the Siberian Monkey Goddess, beautiful and terrible in her wrath, who is determined to convince him he's not Charlie Chaplin, but just a very disturbed individual who has taken on the identity of Charlie to escape from her own unhappiness, and that perhaps Charlie is not even a man.

The play becomes an increasingly desperate struggle over the nature of identity that neither party can afford to lose.

A powerful exploration of the nature of reality, dream, art and identity, with elements of dark Chaplinesque farce mixed in.

A great showcase for two strong actresses.
