Synopsis

There is a party tonight in fashionable Beverly Hills, thrown by a screenwriter and the wife with whom he is squabbling.

Also present are a producer and his wife, a square Congressman, and others of the Hollywood community.

It is the Congressman's wife who is most memorable, for throughout the play she keeps beginning or continuing an interminable story.

Also present, and most likeable, is the screenwriter's son, who is to be inducted on the morrow.

The screenwriter has always shied away from confrontations and is forced at last to take a stand on an issue larger than himself.

A very funny comedy by the author of Chicken Every Sunday .
