Under The Twelfth Sign
Enid Coles
When we meet Mary, she is living on an island off the coast of New England.
She lives alone in a house surrounded by fog that is so close to the highway that she can hear the cry of animals as they are hit by passing cars.
The saving and healing of these animals becomes her raison d'etre.
Enter apparitions of her former self, ghosts who are not satisfied to simply observe but rather take an active part in Mary's present life.
BESIDE HERSELF bends time and dimensions to to take a look at love and life.
Beside Herself is a play written by Joe Pintauro and published by Broadway Play Publishing (1990).
