Synopsis

Emily and Jenny, two fourteen-year-olds in suburban South Carolina in the eighties, are interested in exploring everything from junk food to sex.

Their explorations lead them to two older men: Emily to Adam, a high school senior, and Jenny to Joseph, her father’s twenty-eight-year-old friend from church.

All the Fine Boys takes a hard look at the often painful and confusing transition into adulthood.

Press Reviews

"Part romantic comedy, part thriller, with a little bit of an indie-drama vibe."

— The New York Times

Characters

Character
Jenny

14, skinny, sometimes sunny, sometimes stormy.

Adam

17, the cool kid, the first alternative, dark hair, tall, thin, very smart, well read, the lead in the high school play and the editor of the literary magazine. When his younger brother (who will be Senior Class President and Phi Beta Kappa) graduates the headline of the local paper will read: He's more than Adam's little brother.

Emily

14, a sponge, listens to everything, a little bit heavy (she already has boobs), a little bit pretty.

Joseph

28, blonde, blue eyes, very handsome in a traditional kind of way - button down shirt, khaki pants, loafers, well combed hair, favors sunglasses, seems very adult, likes motorcycles, football and skeet shooting, works at the local power plant, a religious-middle class-suburban-southern man.
