A Boy and Girl discover themselves in a meadow late at night, only to find that they are dead.

Their faces have changed almost beyond recognition.

As they discuss the past, they realize they have tried to make themselves the sort of person they mistakenly supposed the other wanted them to be.

Not until after death have they realized how much happier they would have been as their natural self.
