FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16TH, 2026 at 54 BELOW
For one night only, the Fortunate Few Productions collective is bringing the murder ballad songbook to 54 Below! Produced by Tommy Kelly and Aidan C. White, "54 Gets Away With Murder" pledges to pass the microphone to music’s most conniving killers, bringing a mixture of musical theatre, country, hip-hop, and jazz to Broadway’s basement. Featuring raucous renditions of songs from "Sweeney Todd", "Bonnie & Clyde", "Little Shop of Horrors", "Death Becomes Her", and even the songbooks of Rihanna, Bobby Darin, and Will Wood, this night of cold-blooded camp is sure to be a bloody good time. 😈 🔪 🩸

Seeking versatile musical theatre performers with strong stage presence, a confidence with navigating uptempo and/or comedic numbers, and a willingness to tap into a sense of menace within the material they're given. Performers will each contribute to two to three numbers each throughout the show, including at least one "feature" – i.e., a prominent solo and/or duet – apiece. With the show featuring a mix of solos, duets, and small ensemble numbers, every performer will also be assigned at least one ensemble or background vocalist track throughout the show. With that in mind, any kind of comfortability with learning harmonies is a huge plus!
In order to be considered for 54 Gets Away With Murder, please submit a link to a cut of an uptempo and/or comedic contemporary musical theatre song lasting no longer than two minutes. Song choices that demonstrate a strong sense of personality, character, and/or fun are highly recommended – no slow, moody ballads allowed! Alternatively, you are welcome to submit a live performance clip of a song in the aforementioned style, so long as that clip is of an appropriate length.
