DEATH OF THE AUTHOR had public readings at Manhattan Theatre Club and South Coast Rep before premiering at LA’s Geffen Playhouse. Other world premieres include: GOING TO SEE THE KID (Merrimack Rep), THE PRINCE OF ATLANTIS (South Coast Rep, published by American Theatre magazine), THE INNOCENTS (Asolo Rep, American Theatre Critics Association finalist), IN THIS CORNER (Old Globe Theatre, Winner: Critics Circle Award), ANOTHER FINE MESS (Portland Center Stage, Pulitzer Prize nominee), THE BULLET ROUND (Arena Stage, Portland), GOING NATIVE (Long Wharf Theatre), and FLATTERY WILL GET YOU (Connecticut Rep). His work has been developed by Mark Taper Forum, Playwrights Horizons, Sundance Theatre Lab, Intiman Theatre, Williamstown Theatre Festival, and many others. Awards: Craig Noel Award, Alfred P. Sloan Award, Paul Green Award, Ovid Foundation Award, and a three-time Edgerton Award recipient. He was a frequent contributor to the New York Times as well as the International Herald Tribune, the Village Voice, the Nation, and many others. His first feature film, titled "To Whom I May Concern," co-written with Gil Cates Jr., is slated for a 2018 opening. He was a 2014 MacDowell Fellow and is an Associate Professor at New York University.
