Steve Feffer has written many plays, including BART, THE TEMP, THE WIZARDS OF QUIZ, LITTLE AIRPLANES OF THE HEART, PLAYS FROM ENSEMBLE STUDIO THEATRE MARATHON 2000, and THE ART OF THE ONE ACT. Many theatres have developed Feffer’s plays. The Ensemble Studio Theatre, Philadelphia Festival Theatre, Stages Repertory Theatre, and the National Jewish Theatre have all housed Feffer’s productions. He has won numerous playwriting awards such as a New Play Grant from the National Foundation for Jewish Culture and the Jewish Endowment for the Humanities, Southwest Plays National Children's Play Award, and the Jamie Hammerstein Award. He has a BFA in Dramatic Writing from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, an MFA in Playwriting from the University of Iowa's Playwrights Workshop, and a Ph.D. in Theatre and Drama from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Feffer is an Assistant Professor of Playwriting and Contemporary Drama in the Creative Writing Program at Western Michigan University.
