Norman Ginsbury was a respected translator, screenwriter, and playwright. Broadway credits include a translation of PEER GYNT, an original comedy entitled THE FIRST GENTLEMAN, and ANNE OF ENGLAND. Other credits include THE DANCE OF DEATH (translated from the original version written by Strindberg) and several translations from Henrik Ibsen’s work, including A DOLL’s HOUSE, GHOSTS, JOHN GABRIEL BORKMAN, THE PILLARS OF SOCIETY, and ROSMERSHOLM. Television credits include “Armchair Theater” and “BBC Sunday Night Theatre.”
